Leg holes not wide enough

Review Date: February 15, 2010

The table arrived and appeared easy to assemble. Simply push the legs into the appropriate holes on the table. However, the edges of the holes had not been "reamed" out, and so the plastic molding was not wide enough for the legs. I needed to file down the plastic inside all 4 holes to make them wide enough for the legs. Very disappointing. Also, the sand tray is not very deep, so you are only working with a limited amount of sand. Even then, in the normal course of play sand is easily brushed and pushed on to the floor. Not a very good design at all.

I didn't think this was going to last too long. I was very impress on how durable the plastic is and the cover actually seals pretty good, so nothing goes in (bugs, dirt, etc).

The size is perfect for my 2 year old, but I wonder if I could take the legs off later on when he gets older, so we can put it on the floor. Haven't tried that yet.

It is a great toy and he loves it.
It comes with a few accesories, so you can start playing right away (after you buy the sand of course).

Highly recommend it for the price.
Cute backyard sand table

Reviewer: Untired 04,
This is a nice compact sand table for any backyard. Good for 3-7 year olds to play with and create many sand sculptures, roadways, pretend cooking, etc. While all sand toys are messy, this one is off the ground and easy to navigate. Sturdy and easily assembled. Unfortunately the S&H for this item cost me almost half again the price of the item. When I saw the $20.00 shipping charge added to my order I almost fainted. I tried to cancel the order, but was told I could not. Live and learn.
Great sandbox!!

Good Little Sand Table

This is a good table. It was very simple to put together. We got a 50lb. bag of play sand for $3.97 at Home Depot. So far we are just using the 4 toys it comes with, and a couple play mobils. My daughter and her friend are not quite 2 1/2 and they enjoy this table well enough. The trouble with it is that they want to carry the sand around and make sand piles all over the back yard. At the rate it's been going there will not be much sand left to play with soon. I have hope, though, because yesterday when my daughter was playing with her PlayMobils in there, she spent a solid 15 minutes playing in the box, without taking any out. Once some ground rules are laid, I think it's quite enjoyable. I think if I got her some additional sand box toys that could help, too.
